Fleas in a jar

0

Placed in a jar, fleas will jump high that the jar and escape.

After 3 days of living in the same jar with the lid on, this changes.

Now the fleas will never jump higher than the lid for the rest of their lives, they have been conditioned to have limits on their jump height.

Even more surprisingly, their offspring will also never jump higher than the lid for their entire lives as well.

The fleas in the jar story is a great analogy for how we create paradigms in our lives and end up limiting our potential.

Not an experiment I would personally try, however I still feel it is worth knowing about because it really makes me think about what my limitations are and what beliefs I have which I need to change to be able to ‘fly out of my jar’.
