There are a lot of fascinating stories that you may come across the Internet – about how a mother lifted a car to save her child, or how people with dissociative identity disorder can see clearly with their host personality but may need prescription glasses with another!

When you think about these things, you come to realize that the full power of the subconscious mind remains untapped.

As a child, I liked watching the circus whenever it came to town and was fascinated when I once saw an elephant tied to a wooden pole with a skinny little chain. So, I asked the person in charge why that was so.

It’s so that he doesn’t run away.”

But, the elephant could, in fact, run away if he wanted to! That chain and pole didn’t stand a chance against the elephant.

I remained fascinated by this for a long time.

Later in life, I found out that baby elephants are tied to poles with chains when they’re being naughty or being trained. Initially, they try to break free but aren’t able to because they’re too small.

As time passes, they accept their fate and stop trying to break free.

Puts a lot of things in perspective, doesn’t it?

During human drug trials, pharmaceutical companies divide their test subjects into two groups. One of these groups receives the active treatment, or the drug and the other gets a placebo – sugar pills or saline solution.

The treatment is given to both the groups for some time and the results evaluated.

The interesting thing is that people who receive the placebo do have improvements in their condition.

This effect has been seen with people having various diseases – common colds, virals, cancers, tumors, etc. you name it.

This is one of the biggest proofs of the fact that the subconscious mind controls the vital processes of the body.

The first step to take for you to start healing yourself using the power of your subconscious mind is to let go of all the negativity, fear, worry, and doubt.

Putting yourself in an emotionally negative space is going to steer your subconscious in the wrong direction. Instead, you should turn your body into a hospitable work environment and be a little more positive.

A positive mindset opens you up to receiving goodness, positivity, and health.

Unleash the power of your subconscious mind

Most of us are the victim of our circumstances and feel just like the elephant I mentioned in the introduction.

If only we could know about our true powers.

One of the ways in which you can control your subconscious mind is by visualizing the things that you want—not the negative things you’re looking to avoid. Visualize how you would feel when you achieve what you want to.

Think about what you would do when you heal, think about what you would feel.

Enjoy that feeling and keep visualizing so that your subconscious mind starts working towards achieving it.

The Technique of Visualization

The technique of visualization uses your imagination to focus on things you would like to achieve in your life.

Your mind and body are connected.

So, when you visualize yourself as healthy and healed completely, your body experiences positive emotions. These emotions have a subsequent effect on your body.

With this technique, you aren’t the victim of your past or that of the present circumstances. Instead, you are the sole author of your life and are penning down exactly what you want and need on to the blank pages of life that are your future.

Here is a step-by-step guide to using visualizations and imagery so that you can heal using the power of the subconscious mind.

  1. Choose a quiet and calm location.
  2. Relax and let go of all your thoughts so that your mind is free from all the tensions and worries of life. You can do this by concentrating on your breathing
  3. Relax all the muscles of your body.
  4. Once you’re calm and in a positive state, start visualizing what you wish for. Feel the pure joy of being healthy and happy. Use your creativity and imagine what you’ll do when you achieve health.

Use the power of your inner voice

Is the voice inside of your head a Negative Nancy?

Bet on yourself, and you’ll win.

You need to indulge in positive self-talk more often to unleash the power of the subconscious mind so that it can heal you.

Positive self-affirmations work.

You should tell yourself things such as, “I’ve got this”, “I can do this”, “I WILL get better”, along with visualizing reaching your goals. This practice helps you get into a positive space where your body can start automatically working towards making your dreams a reality.

You need to be kind to yourself and put a little more faith in what you can do and achieve.

When you’re looking to unleash the healing power of your subconscious mind, start by telling yourself that you will get through anything that life throws at you. Here are examples of positive self-affirmations for healing:

  • My body knows how to heal itself naturally. I allow myself to let my body work.
  • I choose to heal physically and emotionally and allow myself to live the life I deserve
  • I am willing to let my body unleash its true healing potential
  • I am enough

You don’t need to stick to these positive self-affirmations.

Create Your Own Healing Affirmations

Your inner voice responds best to your words so, creating your own positive self-affirmations will help you heal faster.

  • Use words such as allow, welcome, accept, etc. as they imply that you’re the one taking this decision and that you’re in charge of your healing
  • The affirmations must be believable to you—don’t chant something that you don’t truly believe
  • Only use positive words!

The power of positive self-affirmations is very strong and can successfully influence your health for the better.

The power of the subconscious mind should not be underestimated. When you change your mindset, you can change your life
